Enactment of Public Act 96-1008, effective July 6, necessitated many changes to the 2010 Election Calendar.
Changed dates of interest:
August 2, 2010 - Last day for filing (with local election official) original signed petitions for referenda for submission of questions of public policy
August 9, 2010 - Last day to file objections to petitions for the submission of questions of public policy
August 16, 2010 - Last day for local governing boards to adopt a resolution or ordinance to allow a binding public question to appear on the ballot
---------------
NOTE: Last day for local election official to certify any binding public question or advisory referenda to the election authority having jurisdiction over the political subdivision is still September 2, 2010.
